Between going back to work as a bus driver and the rather large number of games I’ve received to review, I’ve been pretty swamped. Were it just simple games, this wouldn’t be too difficult of a task to bear, but I’ve been handed quite a few, very long RPGs, including Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse, Trails of Cold Steel II, God Eater 2, and Attack on Titan. I have all of these great RPGs to play, but I just want to play Monster Hunter Generations with my friends. Still, I have been making my way through these games. I’d really like to know who decides when to release games like…

For the first time in forever, I managed to have a review done and ready on release day! I’m feeling quite accomplished in that fact. It helps that I had plenty of time with the game before it’s release, but even more that the game was good. I’m talking about you, Lost Dimension. Well, for every good, there is a bad. Considering I spent so much time with Lost Dimension, I was unable to get my BlazBlue review up on time. That’s not necessarily a bad thing though. If you’ve been reading along with these updates, you know that most of the games I review are ones I buy myself. Of course, from time to time, I’ll get review copies sent my way from the developers. Toukiden is not one of those review copies. Instead, it has proven to be a real distraction. I am supposed to be playing Danganronpa, Sorcery Saga, or Lone Survivor (All of which I enjoy), but since Toukiden has found its way into my Vita, I haven’t been able to focus on those other games. I am really enjoying this game immensely. Toukiden has really been scratching a certain itch; and itch that…

This past week has been quite eventful. In regards to the photo above, our local Play N Trade had an overnight LAN party, but the neighboring restaurant, Ying’s was hosting a party of there own. Things escalated early and shots were fired. Someone got shot in the leg and the shooter escaped, but most of the college students and suburb dwellers were scared out of their minds. The few city residents that attended the LAN hit the floor after the first shot and instructed the others to get down as well. Nobody at the LAN was hurt, but a stray bullet hit the window next door.

In my last post, I said I would start to post little bits about what I’m playing right now. I think I also mentioned that I’ve been going hard in Pokémon. It’s a great game; the best in the series, actually. Still, from the start, I have been finding things that really upset me with the game. The number one offense is the sound. Even with my speakers turned down low or while using earphones, the chiptune win music makes my speakers or earphones rattle. I don’t like that sound as I usually associate it with bad speakers, but I know my earphones are good. It just sounds bad. I…
