Now Playing #5
I was hoping XSEED would send me either of their recent releases, but they don’t got time fo dat. Well, I like XSEED as a publisher and appreciate that they bring over somewhat niche titles like Atlus, so I went out and bought Valhalla Knights 3 last Saturday. I did so despite all the warnings and reviews around the internet because I remember playing the first two and enjoying them where others put them down. Everyone has different tastes and maybe I’m a bit of a masochist. At first, I was on the edge about buying VK3 or Ys Memories of Celceta. Everyone and every part of me wanted to…

Rainbow Moon
Have you ever played a game where every part of the game screamed low budget and cheap, but despite that it was a load of fun? Rainbow Moon fits that bill for me. If you break it down to individual parts, nothing about it should be enjoyable in any way. Put together, it’s an addictive and fun adventure with a battle system that takes some time to get accustomed to.

Merry Christmas!
Well, it’s Christmas day. Time to open those presents and see what you got. For those of you who managed to land yourself a 3DS or a Vita, 2014 looks to be a very good year. Pokémon Bank is right around the corner, releasing on December 27th. Finally, we can use our old world pork monsters in magnificent 3D. Bravely Default comes out this February as does a new Prof. Layton game. On the Vita, there looks to be a Dragon Ball Z fighter coming out in January. Danganronpa also looks interesting and I should have a review for this one sometime down the line. Along with it comes Toukiden…

Tearaway
Not since Journey has a game’s ending pulled on my heartstrings like Tearaway did. I can’t go deep into detail without spoiling it, but the ending is well worth finishing Iota’s short, but epic adventure. Like Journey, our hero doesn’t speak, but he is very expressive. After a short introduction, you can begin to customize him (or her if you chose Atoi) to your liking with eyes, mouths, and other various things made out of construction paper cutouts you buy or make yourself.

Now Playing #2
Another random image I found online. To the creator go all the credits, but once again, I know not who is responsible. A sleight update to my last post, I played Pokémon with my Vita headphones instead of my old iPhone headset and I couldn’t notice the vibration at the high pitch. I also noticed that maybe 1/4 of the game’s music is new and not just chiptunes like I originally stated. Still, on both my Pikachu 3DS XL and my girlfriend’s Blue 3DS XL, the speakers do vibrate as mentioned. I also noticed that the small 3DS doesn’t have this issue, but it’s volume is lower. I believe it’s…

Now Playing #1
In my last post, I said I would start to post little bits about what I’m playing right now. I think I also mentioned that I’ve been going hard in Pokémon. It’s a great game; the best in the series, actually. Still, from the start, I have been finding things that really upset me with the game. The number one offense is the sound. Even with my speakers turned down low or while using earphones, the chiptune win music makes my speakers or earphones rattle. I don’t like that sound as I usually associate it with bad speakers, but I know my earphones are good. It just sounds bad. I…

Dragon’s Crown To Get Cross-Play
I got an email today with very little more than this image and a small description stating that this is happening very soon. I know a bunch of people who had hoped this was included from the start. Good to see that it’s happening. Better late than never, I suppose.
